Slí Cholmcille
Slí Cholmcille - the St Columba Trial is a visitor and heritage trail which links sites in Ireland and Scotland which are associate with St Colmcille or Columba.It can be followed online, or it is possible to download maps and to follow it on the ground.
Pléaraca Chonama, Nis
One of the earliest exchanges Colmcille was involved in was an exchange between Pléaraca Chonamara and Ness on the Island of Lewis.
Ìslay – Bally Castle
Ireland is closer to the island of Islay than most of mainland Scotland. Colmcille has worked with Ionad Chaluim Chille Ìle on the island to develop language courses.
Language and Politics
Colmcille has supported the Queens University in Belfast on a series of Symposia on Language and Politics.
Cearcaill na Gàidhlig, North Lanark & Northern Ireland
The North Lanark group, Cearcall na Gàidhlig runs a weekly drop in centre with activities for children and classes and events for adults. It serves Gaelic speakers and learners in Coatbridge and Airdrie, and has links to the large Gaelic-medium unit in Condorrat.
Iomain Cholmcille
Iomain Cholmcille has supported matches between Gaelic-speaking teams in Ireland and Scotland.
