Over the coming years, Colmcille hopes to build a strong distinctive brand to reflect the vision of the organisation. A range of measures, activities and events are planned to make this possible. Colmcille plans to increase significantly public “presence”, creating a strong profile for the organisation through better information on Colmcille, its events and projects available to the public through a range of media. This is a huge remit for a tiny organisation spanning three jurisdictions. Nevertheless, this challenge will be met through a range of measures in the Gaelic Communications strategy to guarantee success in this Building on the success of the Leabhar Mór, touring in Ireland 2005-7, Colmcille hopes to create new arts projects for exhibitions and shows across the Gaelic world. Initial work will involve brainstorming and networking and checking possibilities for alternative funding. There will be an emphasis on innovation, “differentiation” or “stand out” to increase the possibility of increased access to the language and culture through an art form.
